Carbon monoxide

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous gas that can leak from incorrectly fitted or poorly maintained gas appliances like cookers and fires, as well as flues, chimneys and blocked vents.

VCMA funding enables us to deliver awareness raising campaigns around the dangers of carbon monoxide; work with partner organisations to fit carbon monoxide alarms and deliver advice; and use our own engineers to conduct safety investigations when carbon monoxide is detected during emergency call outs.
