Partnerships and funding
We know our role extends beyond operating a safe, reliable gas network.
Through our Vulnerability-Strategy, we build deep partnerships and fund projects that support individuals and communities.
Supporting people, strengthening communities
We work with community groups, health partners and local authorities to help alleviate hardship, increase access to warmth, improve safety, maximise people’s income and deliver trusted advice.
Between 2026 and 2031 we will support more than 585,000 customers with projects that will help those who need it most.
We have three key funding streams to develop projects that will help those who need it most.
Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA)
An Ofgem-funded programme that enables us to provide far-reaching support to customers.
Community Partnering Fund
Shareholder fund providing seed funding to community groups, enabling them to develop small, grass-roots projects that support local people.
Customer Support Fund
An annual commitment of £200,000 to support our most vulnerable customers where other funding may not be eligible.
