How it works

You can book a free school visit from Safety Seymour, accompanied by trained education specialists. The engaging half-day session focuses on dangers of CO, what the symptoms are and how to stay CO safe. Several areas of the curriculum are incorporated, including the Fire of London, STEM, PSHE and the Human Body.

Enter our CO competition to win fantastic prizes

We run an annual competition to encourage children aged 5-11 to come up with creative ways of spreading the CO safety message.

Children can enter through their school or community group. Submissions can take any form, such a short video; a poster; a story or poem or a facts sheet. Anything goes, as long as the entry promotes CO safety.

We will pick a winner from Key Stage 1 and 2, who will each receive £150 for themselves and £300 for their school or organisation.

These two winners will then go forward to a national competition where they have a chance to win a further £300 for themselves and £600 for their school or organisation.

How to submit your entry

  1. Please submit your entry by 31 December to enter the current year’s competition.

  2. Entries need to be emailed to us in the form of a JPEG, photograph or coloured scan, or an online link (e.g. if entering a video).

  3. Email your entry along with your name, age, teacher, school/organisation, plus the address of your school/organisation to [email protected].

  4. Please submit each entry individually. Only one entry per student is allowed.
