Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas distributor for the North of England, is carrying out essential repair works on gas pipes on Station Road in Keighley.

So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, and to protect the public, some traffic management measures have been put in place.

From Thursday 22 May, a section of Station Road close to Steeton Hall Hotel is closed to all motorists. The closure has been arranged in collaboration with Bradford Council, and a fully signed diversion is in place.

The gas supply to homes and businesses in the area will not be affected.

Chris Green, Business Operations Lead at Northern Gas Networks, said: “Our teams are working continuously to complete the repairs to ensure the road can be fully reopened as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

For further information about the work please contact NGN’s Customer Care Team on 0800 040 7766 or email: customercare@northerngas.co.uk.

Anyone that smells gas or suspects carbon monoxide should call the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111 999. This line is in operation 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
