Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas distributor for the North of England, is carrying out repair work on gas pipes under Flemingate in Beverley.
So that engineers can carry out the work safely and efficiently, some temporary traffic management measures have been put in place.
From Wednesday 12 February, Flemingate railway crossing in Beverley will be closed. This closure is expected to last around 2 weeks. A signed diversion is in place for motorists, and access will be maintained for cyclists and pedestrians.
Chris Keith, Operations Manager at Northern Gas Networks, said: “We are working continuously to complete the repairs and have the roads fully open as soon as we can. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The gas supply to homes and businesses in the area will not be affected.
