Work Details
So that our engineers can carry out repairs safely and efficiently, and to protect members of the public, temporary traffic management measures have been put in place.
Barmston Lane is currently closed in both directions just before the HM Revenue & Customs Office, which means no traffic can travel from Barmston Lane on to Mandarin Way, towards the Asda Distribution Centre.
A small number of commercial properties in Pattinson Industrial Estate are currently without gas while the repair is completed. The gas supply to homes and businesses in the wider area has not been impacted.
Steve Pigott, Business Operations Lead at Northern Gas Networks, said: “The safety of members of public is our priority. Our engineers are working hard to isolate the gas supply and carry out the repair as soon as possible.
“We’re aiming to have the road reopened as soon as we can and our teams are keeping impacted businesses up to date on our progress. For now, please avoid the area if you can – thank you for your patience and understanding.”
