Championing innovation, best practice and outstanding performance
Since 2010, UKCXA has championed innovation, best practice and outstanding performance in CX.
Kirsten Wood, Customer Care Manager at Northern Gas Networks, said:
“We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for three awards at the UK Customer Experience Awards. To be recognised across multiple categories is a real moment of pride for us, as it reflects the dedication, compassion and commitment our colleagues show in supporting customers every day.
“At Northern Gas Networks, people are at the heart of everything we do. As the company responsible for delivering gas to 2.9 million homes and businesses across the North of England, every decision we make starts with our customers.
“Whether it’s keeping people safe and warm, supporting those in vulnerable situations, or listening to customer feedback to shape and improve our services, we’re committed to delivering the best possible experience for the communities we serve.”
Customer engagement is vital
Jenny Wilkinson, Head of Customer and Stakeholder Strategy at NGN, said:
“For us, great customer experience is about listening carefully, understanding what matters most to the people and communities we serve, and using that insight to shape the decisions we make every day.
“Customer engagement plays a vital role in helping us make better, fairer and more informed decisions. It challenges us, broadens our perspective and ensures we’re not designing services in isolation, but with real input from the people who rely on us. That is especially important as expectations change and as we continue to support a diverse range of customers across the North of England.
“We are proud to have this work recognised externally, but we also see it as encouragement to keep improving. These nominations show that when you genuinely listen, act on feedback and place customers at the centre of your culture, it makes a measurable and meaningful difference.”
Neena Miskelly from UKCXA said:
“Being shortlisted for the UKCXA 26 finals should fill everyone at NGN with huge pride, it’s a real badge of honour. The Awards have been running since 2010, and are recognised by many as the most credible customer experience awards in the country.
“Making the finals puts a spotlight on the great work everyone in the team does on a daily basis to give customers the service they deserve.”
NGN will now put together presentations ahead of an online judging process in September, and the winners will be announced in October.
