The North of England’s gas distributer, Northern Gas Networks (NGN) is carrying out emergency works at the Albion Court tower block building in Halifax today (Friday 12th April 2024) after a reported gas escape.
The gas supply to 29 impacted properties has been turned off while engineers assess the network and subsequently carry out repairs.
Chris Green, Operations Manager at Northern Gas Networks said: “Our engineers are on site working hard to resolve the issue and ensure impacted customers have everything they need in the meantime. We are working closely with the landlord, Together Housing.
“We will work as quickly as possible to restore gas to customers and we apologise for this interruption.
