Gas supplies to around 100 properties in the Cornholme area of Todmorden are currently without gas after water entered the gas network today (Friday 19 April).
Our engineers are currently on site and are in the process of turning off the gas supply to all affected properties in the area at the meter. Safety is our priority and we are working hard to remove the water from the gas network and repair the pipe as quickly as possible.
Once all of the water has been removed our engineers will reconnect the gas supply and go door to door to turn everyone’s gas safely back on at the meter.
At this stage it is difficult for us to estimate how long this work will take. We will provide regular updates directly to residents and on our website and social media channels.
