Essential work to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers in Cleckheaton got underway on June 4 on Hunsworth Lane.
The work, to replace ageing metal gas mains with modern plastic pipes, will last until July 12.
Hunsworth Road will be one-way for the duration of the work. Motorists can still access Hunsworth Road from the Bradford Road end, but not from the Whitehall Road end.
The majority of the work is being carried out in the street, observing strict Government guidelines for safe distance working wherever possible and following health and safety guidance.
Chris Nevison, Business Operations Lead for Northern Gas Networks said: “We’d like to thank local residents and businesses for bearing with us during this essential work.
“NGN is continuing to carry out essential services whilst observing strict Government guidelines for safe distance working and following health and safety guidance during the Coronavirus outbreak.
“We want to assure residents and road users that we will be working hard to complete this scheme as safely and as quickly as possible.”
