Engineers have been working through the day today to remove water from the gas pipework at a number of properties in Marsden, Huddersfield. People living on Reddisher Road, Ainsley Lane, Waters Road and Puril Clough lost gas supply yesterday after water entered the pipes, following the recent bad weather conditions.

More than half of the homes affected have now been re-connected to the gas supply, and an engineer is on site throughout this evening to restore supply to the remaining houses as soon as possible.
