Emergency engineers from Northern Gas Networks (NGN) are working to repair a gas escape on Wakefield Road (A642) near Swillington, Leeds this morning (16 October 2018). 

Josh Hampshire, Operations Manager for Northern Gas Networks said: “In order to carry out the repair safely it has been necessary to close one lane and install temporary three-way traffic lights at the junction with Bullerthorpe Lane. 

“We’re advising road users to find an alternative route if possible and we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused while our engineers work to complete this repair.  If you have any questions, please contact the Customer Care Team on 0800 040 7766, option 3.”
