Northern Gas Networks is continuing to upgrade ageing metallic gas mains in Baildon, West Yorkshire as part of a £500,000 investment in the local infrastructure.
The project is part of Northern Gas Networks’ ongoing development of infrastructure across the North of England and will involve replacing more than 1.9km of existing gas main with more durable plastic pipes to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to our customers in the area for years to come.
The essential work which commenced last summer, will continue in the West Lane area of Baildon. It is scheduled for completion in early March 2015.
As part of this project it will be necessary to carry out work in the following roads:
In order to help traffic flow in the area, three-way temporary traffic lights have been installed for the duration of the project and will move along West Lane as the project progresses.
Ian Cunningham, Customer Operations Area Manager, Northern Gas Networks said: “We have been working closely with Bradford Council to carefully plan these works and will do all we can to minimise disruption and keep traffic flowing as normal.
“We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this essential work may cause and thank our customers in Baildon for their continued patience and support.”
