Support when you need it most

Signing up to our Priority Services Register means that we can keep you informed in the way that works best for you if you lose your gas supply unexpectedly, provide welfare support and work with trusted partners like local resilience forums to keep you safe and well while we restore your gas supply.

Who qualifies for The Priority Services Register?

You will qualify if you or anyone in your home meets the criteria below.

If you’re not sure if you qualify, but feel you would need extra help if you’re ever without gas, please get in touch with our team on 0800 040 7766, option 4.

Relies on medical equipment like home dialysis or ventilators

Is pregnant or has a child under five

Is elderly or has reduced mobility

Needs alternative communication support, for example British Sign Language

Has a chronic illness or mental health condition

Has powered accessibility equipment at home, for example a stair lift

Has recently experienced a bereavement

Takes medication that must be kept in the fridge

Requires temporary help due to illness or surgery

The Priority Services Register is there to support you before, during and after a gas emergency or an unexpected interruption to your gas supply.

How to join

Joining the Priority Services Register is quick and free. You can apply online, or by phone. Once registered, your details are stored securely and we keep you updated in a gas emergency, including if you lose your gas supply unexpectedly.
