Northern Gas Networks (NGN), the gas distributor for the North of England, is carrying out emergency repair work to a gas pipe on Green Lane, Yeadon.
To allow engineers to work safely and efficiently, Green Lane will be temporarily closed in both directions from the junction with Greenacre Park to just before Green Lane Mills, from approximately 9.00am tomorrow (Tuesday 24 March).
A diversion will be in place and full access will be maintained for homes and businesses in the area.
The gas supply to nearby homes and businesses remains unaffected.
Dan Hemmingway, Site Manager at Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused while we carry out this emergency repair work.
“The safety of members of the public and our team is our priority, and we are working hard to complete the work as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we’re asking road users to allow extra time to travel.”
For further information about the work please contact NGN’s Customer Care Team on 0800 040 7766 or email: customercare@northerngas.co.uk.
