Engineers from Northern Gas Networks (NGN) were called to an incident at Sadler Forest Way Industrial Estate in Thornaby on (Thursday 28 August) after a report from the emergency services that a vehicle had collided with a gas governor.
Engineers responded quickly and made the situation safe by temporarily disconnecting the gas supply to a small number of commercial units in the vicinity. Engineers will carry out repairs to the gas governor tomorrow (Friday 29 August) before safely restoring supplies to all affected properties.
