Engineers from the North of England’s gas distributer, Northern Gas Networks (NGN), have been working around the clock to restore gas supplies to around 55 properties Woodacre Green, Keswick Lane and Woodacre Lane in Bardsey, Leeds, after water made its way into the gas mains this morning (11 February).

Engineers have used specialist equipment to pump around 300 litres of water from the pipes and have now safely restored the gas supply to the network.

Engineers are now going door to door to turn everyone safely back on gas at their meter.  If you’re not at home when we call, we’ll leave a card with our contact details so that you can arrange for an engineer to come straight out.
