The North of England’s gas distributer, Northern Gas Networks (NGN), is investing £120,000 to upgrade to the gas distribution network in the Keighley Road area of Silsden.

The project is currently ongoing and the works are part of NGN’s ongoing development of infrastructure in the area. The work involves replacing 1400m of existing metal gas mains with more durable plastic pipes, to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers for years to come.

To complete the works safely and efficiently, the following traffic management will be in place:

Phase 1: From Monday 4th February to Sunday 10th February – two-way traffic lights will be in place outside 1 Riverside Cottage, Keighley Road to Aldi (Silsden).

Phase 2: From Monday 11th February to Wednesday 20th February – three-way traffic lights will be in place outside Aldi to 22 Keighley Road.

Phase 3: From Thursday 21st February to Sunday 3rd March – two-way lights will be in place outside 22 Keighley Road to opposite Corn Mill House.

Our Customer Care Officer has been on site speaking with local residents and businesses.

All works have been planned in conjunction with Bradford Council.

Anna Mycoe, Business Operations Lead for Bradford said: “We would like to thank all our customers for their patience whilst we complete these essential works. We are sorry for the inconvenience the works will cause’’.
