Engineers from Northern Gas Networks are carrying out essential work to replace an ageing metal gas main in Fall Lane, Dewsbury.

Work commenced today (Monday 28 April) and is expected to take five days to complete.

In order to carry out this work safely and efficiently, it is necessary to close Fall Lane until Friday 2 May.

A diversion route is clearly signposted and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Wayne Fisher, Customer Operations Area Manager, Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and reassure members of the public that we will do all we can to complete the work as quickly as possible.”
