Important information: Potential delay to your meter installation

Between 19 May and 6 June, it may take longer than usual to arrange the meter installation with your gas supplier. This is because of an Ofgem initiative to replace the IT systems used across the UK gas market. It involves all gas suppliers and will ultimately make it easier for you to switch supplier and/or get a smart meter. You can find more information about Project Nexus on Ofgem’s website.

More than 50% of our workforce are now 40 or under, as we recognise the importance of attracting new talent to replace colleagues taking well-earned retirement.

Our apprenticeship programme continues to thrive, providing a launch pad for new talent, and we run a succession programme which sees older, more experienced colleagues mentor younger colleagues, so that priceless knowledge gets passed on.

60% of colleagues are now on modern terms and conditions, which have replaced the old ‘clock on, clock off’ mentality with the opportunity to earn more through productivity and great customer service.

And we’ve developed a new in-house training programme to ensure colleagues’ skills are at the cutting edge.
