Important information: Potential delay to your meter installation

Between 19 May and 6 June, it may take longer than usual to arrange the meter installation with your gas supplier. This is because of an Ofgem initiative to replace the IT systems used across the UK gas market. It involves all gas suppliers and will ultimately make it easier for you to switch supplier and/or get a smart meter. You can find more information about Project Nexus on Ofgem’s website.

Our incentive schemes

At NGN we firmly believe that stakeholder engagement, and most importantly our response to your feedback, can lead to stronger outcomes for our stakeholders, our customers, our colleagues and our business. We’re also aware that stakeholder engagement is about building trusting relationships, and that takes time.

In 2015/16 we achieved a score of 6.8 from the independent panel who assess our progress. We were pleased with the outcome and are working hard this year to improve on this foundation and demonstrate how input from our stakeholders is shaping our business and delivering measurable improvements and benefits.


We’ve worked hard over the last year and feel like we’re making progress but we’re always aware that there’s more that we can be doing. Our focus for the next 12 months is on continuing to collaborate with our stakeholders to deliver excellent service and develop an increased understanding of stakeholders needs well into the future.
