Gas engineers have reconnected gas supplies to all but a handful of properties in Marsden, Huddersfield.
Out of a total of 1,774 homes and businesses, only a handful of vacant properties remain without gas.
Northern Gas Networks and its operating partner United Utilities apologise for the inconvenience which local people experienced following the supply failure on 4th March.
Engineers have now scaled down their presence in the village. A residents information line on 0191 501 4324 will be manned this weekend (March 11th and 12th) from 9am-5pm for anyone wishing to speak to our customer service team.
Outside those hours, information can be obtained from the National Gas Emergency Service, on 0800 111 999.
Residents should receive a formal letter notifying gas users of the level of compensation which will be paid by Northern Gas Networks to their gas supplier. Suppliers have to pass this compensation through to the consumer.
