Essential Gas Work Closes Bridge at Skinningrove

Residents and road-users in the Skinningrove area, close to Saltburn-by-the-Sea, are being forewarned about essential gas works that will require the closure of the main bridge in and out of the village.

Northern Gas Networks plans to start work on Mill Lane on Friday morning (29th October 2010).

In order to carry out the work safely it is necessary to close the bridge to all traffic from 8:00am Friday 29th October until 12:00 noon Monday 1st November, an alternative route can be found via Nixon Bank, Carlin How.

Engineers will work across the weekend and through the night, where possible, to help minimise disruption and complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.

Northern Gas Networks would like to apologise for any inconvenience experienced while this vital work is carried out.
