Gas supplies to around 70 properties in the Derry Hill area of Menston, near Ilkley have been cut off after water got inside the gas mains.
Engineers have been visiting affected properties to safely isolate gas supplies and they are also working hard to pump water out of the gas pipeline.
A customer drop-in centre has been set up at the Cornerstone centre, next to the Methodist Church in Main Street, Menston. Fan heaters and hotplates are available for collection.
Customers are reminded to always check the identity of anyone who calls at their door. Our engineers carry ID cards and are always happy to show them.
