Operations Overview

Northern Gas Networks has the Regulatory Licence to operate the North of England gas distribution network – issued by the industry regulator Ofgem (Office of Gas & Electricity Markets) – and we are accountable for all Licence and safety obligations thereunder.

The company is responsible and accountable for the continued safe and efficient running of the gas distribution network, ensuring the highest possible performance standards from planning through to asset maintenance, repair, capital and replacement design and delivery, customer service management and the provision of the 24-hour gas emergency service.
