In the UK CKI also owns the Cambridge Water Company.
Hongkong Electric Holdings (HEH) owns and operates a vertically
integrated electricity generation, transmission and distribution business in Hong Kong.
HEH is 38.9% owned by CKI and in partnership they own three electricity distribution networks in southern Australia.
HEH is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of approximately £5.3 billion. The HEH Group has around 2,100 employees .
The Li Ka Shing (Overseas) Foundation was established in 1980 to co-ordinate medical, cultural, educational and other community welfare projects. Since then donations have been made totalling approximately £2.3 billion.
The Foundation invests in projects with a stable cash flow to secure additional funding for charitable projects.
United Utilities plc (UU) is the holding company of multi-utility companies which include water supply and distribution, waste water services, facilities management and other outsourcing options. It is the largest provider of outsourced utility management services in the UK.
UU is based in Warrington in the North West of England where it supplies water and waste water services to around three million homes and businesses and also provides electricity distribution to more than 2.3 million properties. The company's market capitalisation is approximately £4.3 billion.
The Challenger Financial Services Group manages and administers more than £4.3 billion on behalf of around 100,000 Australian investors.
The SAS Trustee Corporation is a pension fund for government employees in the state of New South Wales in Australia. It has net assets of approximately £11.2 billion.
