Northern Gas Networks commences work this week (5 August) to lay a new gas pipe in the Duncombe Road / Cemetery Road area of Bradford to connect the Farmer’s Boy food manufacturing plant to the gas distribution network for the first time.

The new gas pipe will be laid along Duncombe Road and across Cemetery Road, terminating at the Farmers Boy premises on Greenside Park.

Work will be carried out in 2 phases and is scheduled for completion by the end of August. The first phase of the work in Duncombe Road is expected to have minimum impact on traffic in the area.

The second phase of the work will take place in Cemetery Road, commencing mid-August. In order to carry out this phase of the work safely and efficiently, it will be necessary to close one lane on Cemetery Road and put a short traffic diversion in place.

During this time there will also be restricted access to the Farmers Boy site.

For more information about the works contact Northern Gas Networks Connections team on 0870 300 7677 and speak to Industrial and Commercial. The team is available Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm.
