Northern Gas Networks is investing £175,000 to upgrade ageing metallic gas mains in Hyde Park Road, Leeds.
The project is part of Northern Gas Network’s ongoing development of infrastructure across the north of England and will involve replacing more than 1km of existing metallic gas main with more durable plastic pipes to ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers in the area for years to come.
To minimise the level of disruption caused the scheme which is expected to take 11 weeks to complete, will be carried out in three phases.
In order to carry out the work safely and efficiently temporary road closures will be in place at certain times throughout the project and all on street parking will be suspended.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and all shops and businesses will remain open as usual. Public transport will be unaffected.
Planned schedule of work:

Hyde Park Road closed from the junction with Woodsley Road to Hartwell Road.
Royal Park Road closed for around 1 week.
Phase 2 – Around 3 weeks from 11th August
