Important information: Potential delay to your meter installation

Between 19 May and 6 June, it may take longer than usual to arrange the meter installation with your gas supplier. This is because of an Ofgem initiative to replace the IT systems used across the UK gas market. It involves all gas suppliers and will ultimately make it easier for you to switch supplier and/or get a smart meter. You can find more information about Project Nexus on Ofgem’s website.

Armley Gyratory gas works completed ahead of time

Northern Gas Networks is pleased to announce that essential gas mains repair work taking place at Leeds Armley Gyratory has been completed 48 hours ahead of schedule.

Richard Hynes Cooper, Customer Operations Area Manager, Northern Gas Networks, said: “We would like to apologise to motorists and other members of the public who may have been inconvenienced during our emergency gas works at Armley Gyratory, and thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout.

“Our work was completed 48 hours ahead of schedule thanks to careful planning, out of hours working and the cooperation of Leeds City Council and members of the public.

“We always aim to carry out our work quickly and safely, keeping disruption to an absolute minimum.”
